We’re conveniently positioned within cruising distance of popular northern Lake Michigan ports such as Charlevoix, Bay Harbor, Harbor Springs, Beaver Island, Mackinac Island, Elk Rapids, Leland, and Traverse City.
With a 77-ton lift capacity, our facility offers heated and unheated indoor storage, outdoor mast-up sailboat storage, and full-service maintenance capabilities for both power and sailboats.
Our experienced, factory-trained technicians and rigging experts provide everything from hull painting to fiberglass repair in our heated, fully equipped workshop. We take pride in combining trusted craftsmanship with competitive pricing and exceptional care for every vessel.

About Northport Boat Yard
A Tradition of Quality and Service Since 1965
Founded by Frank and Marilyn Koral in 1965, Northport Boat Yard began as a small operation with a single storage building and 20-ton hoist. Over the decades, the yard expanded under dedicated ownership—adding storage capacity, heated facilities, and advanced service capabilities.
In 2010, the acquisition of Gull Island Marine brought even more storage space and a heated workshop for maintenance and repairs.
Today, under the ownership of Daniel Stern (Kam Marine Ventures, LLC), Northport Boat Yard continues its proud tradition of excellence with the same trusted staff and loyal customers.
In addition to Northport Boat Yard, our East Jordan facility — KAM Powersports — offers a full Yamaha off-road and personal watercraft lineup, along with mobile and on-site marine repair services throughout Northern Michigan.
Our sister marina, Kam Marine on Clairpointe in Detroit, extends our service network throughout Michigan.
